Important Notice - Refill Account by MauCAS

To All Valued Users

Please note that a new feature “REFILL ACCOUNT BY MauCAS” has been added in the e-Judiciary system at the Commercial Division whereby as from Monday 23 October 2023 Online Registered Users will be able to replenish/ top-up their eJudiciary account using MauCAS (QR Code and Account Transfer).

Registered Users will have to follow the instructions in the user manual to use the new feature.

Dear valued users

Please note that the Government Online Centre (GOC) is proceeding with a major intervention from Friday 4th August 2023 17:00 hrs to Sunday 6 August 2023 23:00 hrs.

The e-judiciary System will therefore not be available during the time of intervention.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

To all valued Users

Please note that all online and offline users of the eJudiciary System will be issued a card with QR-CODE of their Practitioner ID. You are kindly requested to collect  your card at the Service Bureau, Supreme Court, Edith Cavell Street, Port Louis and to present the card to replenish / top-up your e-Judiciary account when effecting payment at the Cashier's Office.

The card in the first instance will be issued free of any charge, however, the cost of replacing a lost card will be Rs 300.

Important Notice - QR-Code of Practitioner ID

To All Online and Offline Registered Users

Please note that a new feature “PRINT QR-CODE OF PRACTIONER ID”/ “E-MAIL QR-CODE OF PRACTIONER ID” has been added in the e-Judiciary system at the Commercial Division whereby Online and Offline Registered Users will be able to present the QR Code to replenish / top-up their e-Judiciary account when effecting payment at the Cashier’s Office.  The cashier will scan the QR Code instead of typing the Practitioner ID to allow faster issuing of receipts.

Registered Users will have to follow the instructions in the user manual to use the new feature.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

To / All Registered Attorney/Users

All Registered Attorney /Users of the e-filing system at the Commercial Division are hereby informed that, whenever they apply and submit a request for milestone extension to file pleadings documents (Affidavit, Demand of Particulars, Answer to Particulars, Plea, etc.,) on the e-filing system, they should specify in their request letter whether such extension is being prayed for the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd times and so on.

Important Notice - Refill Account by Credit Card

To all valued users

Please note that a new module “REFILL ACCOUNT BY CREDIT CARD” has been implemented in the e-Judiciary system at the Commercial Division whereby Online Registered Users will be able to replenish / top-up their e-Judiciary account using a credit card.

Registered Users will have to follow the instructions in the user manual to use the new feature.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

It has recently been observed that some Registered Online Users of the e-filing system at the Commercial Division are not replenishing / topping-up their e-Judiciary accounts in a timely manner in order to meet the monthly subscription fees due.

All Registered Online Users are therefore reminded that they should ensure they have sufficient funds of at least Rs 1000/ - prior to the 1st day of the next incoming month.

Failure to do so, pursuant to Rules 9 and 10 of 'The Courts (Electronic Filing of Documents) Rules 2012', may entail the immediate deactivation of the defaulting accounts and the furnishing of written explanations to justify the reactivation of same.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

All Registered Users of the e-Judiciary system of the Commercial Division are hereby informed that two new features of the e-filing system have been introduced since
11 January 2021 as follows: -

(1) Application for Witnesses/issue of Sub-poena and

(2) Filing of Written Submissions

Thus, henceforth, Attorneys will be required to make Online applications for the issue of sub-poena (by way of Motion Requests) and same will be processed by the Service Bureau/Registry of the Commercial Division and the Court Ushers’ Office.

Attorneys should ensure that: (i) there are sufficient funds in their e-Judiciary account for processing of same and (ii) that a copy of their List of Witnesses, duly served on the opponent, is attached as well.

Likewise, any written submissions will have to be filed online through the e-filing system (no fees applicable here).
